Sanjay Gupta has been the CFO of Trent Hypermarkets Ltd since August 2012. He has a career spanning more than 24 years, working with different companies in successively higher roles. He has worked for 7 years with Roche Diagnostics India Pvt Ltd, which is the global leader in providing solutions for in-vitro diagnostics, with 4 years at the helm of affairs, being the Head of South Asia for Roche Diabetes Care. Prior to this, he has worked with Bata India Limited for a period of 6 years in various leadership roles in Finance. Most recently, he worked for last 4 years in leading pharma and healthcare companies such as Glenmark and Associated Capsules Group as CFO.

He is 47 years old and is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary, having secured top ranks in both the examinations. He is also a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD, France, one of the leading Business School in the world, in General Management.
