Raj Shekhar Roy (R S Roy)
Raj Shekhar Roy has been a driving force in the retail industry for over 45 years, catalysing its evolution from shopkeeping to retail, modern organized retail, digital retail, multichannel retail, omnichannel retail, and now phygital retail. He has played a pivotal role in setting global standards in retail and serves as Executive Director on the Trusted Board. Roy was instrumental in launching the ‘Trusted Mark’ certification scheme for retailers and shopping centers in India, in close cooperation with NABCB and the Quality Council of India. He mentors the Images Group, one of the world’s largest retail organizations. As a dedicated environmentalist, Roy has made significant contributions to environmental conservation and eco-village development in the Himalayan villages. He has also collaborated closely with RWAs & NGOs in the NCR region on water and power conservation, waste management, and resident welfare initiatives.
